Swarga is a small resort in south India. In the native language ‘Swarga’ means heaven. The estate is located on a former coffee plantation full of 100 year old trees and train tunnels in the midst of beautiful cottages. My goal was to create a branding identity to showcase the life at Swarga through web, mobile and print formats.
After series of meetings, research, concept sketches, review and refinement I developed a means of showcasing this beautiful rich location in a gallery format. Also the page needed to highlight the history and passion for nature in a simple, contemporary design. The design also needed to be responsive to adapt to multiple devices.
The goal was to come up with a brand to represent ‘Swarga’ in a simple, yet very earthy style.
Print and collateral
I also presented few Print based designs for ‘Swarga’, one of them was a weekly coffee table journal that guests can enjoy during their stay at the resort.
Photography and branding
As a photographer I tried use my photography skills to add value to the project. We conducted photo sessions in all seasons to represent ‘Swarga’ in the best way possible.
Final online design
This is the final result that represents all my research and design activities. (work in progress link http://swarga.in/v2/).
